Murtle the turtle and his under water friends

Created in 2017 and filmed for DVD in Scotland

The thing that I always love in a painting like this, is the life, freedom, acceptance, colour and a wonderful world of my own making. Creating characters that are loved and bring smiles to so many face is one of the best bits. Sometimes a character just appears, out of knowhere. It’s like, they were always meant to be in that painting and a space was reserved just for them but I didn’t know it until it was time to meet them.

The ocean has proven to be a wonderful place where many, including myself and escape and get away from everything and what safer place to enjoy that retreat than here under the sea.
